Acceptable Use Policy
1. Purpose
PostGuard is designed for defensive privacy and personal-security analysis. This policy prohibits use of the service to harm, exploit, track or target other people.
2. Authorised defensive use
You may use PostGuard to assess content you are entitled to submit for legitimate privacy, security, safeguarding or publication-risk purposes, including protecting yourself, your family, authorised clients or an organisation you are authorised to represent.
3. Prohibited harmful use
You must not use PostGuard to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, doxx or maliciously identify or track another person; locate a person's home, family, school, workplace, routine or current whereabouts for harmful purposes; plan or facilitate burglary, violence, fraud, coercion, blackmail or other wrongdoing; exploit children or vulnerable people; conduct unauthorised surveillance; impersonate another person; or obtain or expose credentials, financial information, identity documents or other sensitive information for improper purposes.
4. Content and third-party rights
You must have an appropriate right, permission or lawful basis to submit content. Do not upload material solely to investigate an unrelated person without a legitimate defensive purpose or appropriate authority. You must respect privacy, confidentiality, copyright and other applicable rights.
5. Service and security abuse
You must not attempt unauthorised access, bypass account controls, probe or exploit vulnerabilities without authorisation, introduce malicious code, overload/disrupt the service, scrape it in a way that harms the service, reverse-engineer protected components except where a legal right cannot be restricted, or use another person's account without permission.
6. OSINT and location intelligence
Public-source, web-match, landmark and location-related results must be used for defensive risk assessment. They must not be used to facilitate targeting, stalking, harassment, physical intrusion or other harmful surveillance. Such results may be incomplete or incorrect and should not be treated as verified facts without appropriate corroboration.
7. Children and vulnerable people
Information concerning children or vulnerable people must be handled with particular care. PostGuard must not be used to identify, profile, locate, contact, exploit or endanger a child or vulnerable person. Legitimate analysis intended to reduce their exposure or protect their safety is permitted where the user is appropriately authorised.
8. Enforcement
PostGuard may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected abuse, protect users or third parties, preserve service security, comply with law or enforce these rules. Serious or imminent harmful misuse may result in immediate restriction. Where legally required, PostGuard may preserve relevant records or respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.
9. Reporting abuse
Suspected misuse, security issues or harmful activity involving PostGuard can be reported to security@postguard.uk.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated as PostGuard's defensive capabilities, integrations and legal obligations evolve.
